PAPA SAN SISTO II (? - August 6 258), martyr, born in Athens, elected in 257, buried in the catacombs of San Callisto and then in his church on the Via Appia. Martyr of the persecution of Valerian as San Lorenzo, the popular tradition has it that the latter has met the Pope as he was led to martyrdom.
