POPE SISTO IV (July 21, 1414 - August 12, 1484), born Francesco della Rovere, born in Savona, elected in 1471. He built the Ponte Sisto in Rome, and the Chapel of the Apostolic Palace, which took its name, was later enriched with famous frescoes by Michelangelo and is the seat of the Conclave.
