caption: POPE ALEXANDER V of the Great Western Schism (around 1339 - 3 May 1410), born Pietro Filargo, born in Crete, elected in 1409 by the Council of Pisa in place of the Roman Pope Gregory XII and Benedict XIII of the Avignon, with 'intent to recompose the tear between the two factions. The Cardinals created by anti-popes to humble themselves, then the true Pontiff. Considered Pope for over five centuries, from 1947 shared the fate of the other protagonists of the events of the Council of Pisa and is considered anti-pope.
