POPE CLEMENT V (1264 - 20 April 1314), aka Vincent Bertrand de Gouth, born in Villan-DREAU (France), elected in 1305. He was the first pope to assume the tiara. He moved the papacy in France in the town of Carpentras; his successor John XXII in Avignon moved it.
