POPE INNOCENT XI (1611-1689) born Benedetto Odescalchi, born in Como, elected in 1676. In 1683 made a covenant with the Emperor of Hungary Leopold of Austria and the Polish King John III Sobieski, with the intention common to stop the advance of the Ottoman Empire, and managing to with the victory at the Battle of Vienna. From this first marriage she was developed following the Holy League. Postcard chromolithographic n. 7 from the 'Collection of the Popes Romans' dedicated to Pope Pius X and blessed by Him. Rome, October 1903.
