caption: PAPA SAN FELICE II (? - 365) martyr, born in Rome, elected in 355, was beheaded and buried in SS. Cosmas and Damian in the Roman Forum. Office after the departure of Pope Liberius under the influence of Emperor Constantius II, and the return of exiled Pope Liberius, his position is somewhat controversial and although canonized, has since been considered anti-pope. Consequently his successors Felix III and Felix IV are sometimes referred to as II and III. Postcard chromolithographic n. 226 from the 'Collection of the Popes Romans' dedicated to Pope Pius X and blessed by Him. Rome, October 1903.
