Pope Pius III (May 29, 1439 - October 18, 1503), born Francesco Todeschini Piccolomini, who was elected in 1503. He ruled the Church 26 days. During his brief pontificate he founded at the Cathedral of Siena Piccolomini Library in memory of his uncle Pius II, giving charge to Pinturicchio to decorate the rooms.
