Sant 'EDVIGE of Andechs (1174 - 15 October 1243) Duchess of Silesia and Poland and, as a widow, a Cistercian nun in Trzebnica; was proclaimed holy by Pope Clement IV in 1267. In his bride position of Duke Enrico I Barbuto, he displayed great care and charity for the poorest subjects, building numerous hospices. Commemorated initially on October 15, the day of death (Dies Natalis, birth to heaven), later the cult was moved to leave the place in memory of St. Therese of Jesus. Colored engraving, Italy 1886
