SAN LUIGI GONZAGA (March 9, 1568 - June 21, 1591) Jesuit Italian Jesuit. Still called a child to religious life, he renounced in favor of his brother Rodolfo to the marquis he was entitled to with his birthright. He then conveyed a life intensively devoted to the care of the needy and to the assistance of the sick, dying only 23 years after the contagion of a person who had personally sought to help in the street.
