SAN GERMANO (496 - may 28 576), abbot of the Benedictine monastery of Saint Symphorien Autun and later bishop of Paris to appoint the king Chideberto, grateful for his miraculous healing attributed to the saint and for which he had also built for him the monastery of St. Vincent, later known as Saint-Germain-des-Prés. At the holy bishop of Paris attributed miracles in favor of the poor, prisoners, victims of fires and sick. Commemoration on May 28, the day of death (Dies Natalis, birth into heaven).
