INDIA the temple of the Rats - a rat on one of the columns in inlaid white marble of the Karni Mata Temple, to Deshnok. To approximately 30 km from Bikaner, in the Rajasthan, one finds this induista temple, one of most unusual than all India. Temple dedicated to the goddess Karni Mata, a multitude of sacred rats (Kaba) is venerated here and nourished with latte and offered by the faithfuls. It is of good auspice the fact that a rat passes over the feet of the visitors (that they must be barefoot), and the legend speaks about a white rat whose apparition is profitable fortunate grandemente. Of good auspice it is considered by the induisti also to eat the remainders of the rats, even if decidedly risky from a sanitary point of view.
