MICROSCOPE by Filippo Pacini (May 25, 1812 – July 9, 1883), Italian anatomist and pathologist. He was the first to study the cutaneous sensory corpuscles that bear his name. He also conducted important studies on the structure of the retina and the pathology of cholera, being the first to identify the vibrio, which Koch would later associate with the disease.
