Giacomo MATTEOTTI (22 May 1885 – 10 June 1924), Italian politician, journalist and anti-fascist, secretary of the United Socialist Party. His remains, found two months after the fatal attack, are taken to the cemetery of Riano Flaminio. The murder of the honorable, discovered on 16 August after he had been kidnapped on 10 June by a fascist squad, aroused vast political reactions in Italy and caused the secession of the Aventine.
