The safety valve breaks and leaks a vapor cloud that the wind transports for some kilometer in south-east direction, over the cities of Meda and Cesano Maderno. Four days more late the first cases of skin burns are recorded on the skin children and adults and a moria of rabbits. Also the leaves of the trees begin to wither. Ten days after, eighteen people were ricoverate in hospital. The mayor of Seveso prohibited to eat the ortaggi and advised to wash the hands carefully. Fifteen days after the incident the evacuation of the zone was ordered, because also the houses turned out contaminated.
