caption: LA ZANZARA School monthly written by students of the Liceo Parini in Milan: ''What do girls think today?'' by Marco Sassano (1949), Claudia Beltramo Ceppi (1948), creator of the investigation, and Marco De Poli ( 1948), director of the newspaper; the double page anonymously reports the opinions of the girls interviewed on sexual behavior, religion, birth control, relationships with family, free love, society and school; for this analysis the students were accused of moral outrage, obscene printing and corruption of minors. The hot topics projected the three boys into an unwanted spotlight; the trial, which also involved the principal and provoked parliamentary questions, was covered by the international press and ended with a full acquittal of the defendants, defended by a panel of leading criminal lawyers. The case is considered a precursor to the 1968 movement.
