LA ZANZARA School monthly written by students of the Liceo Parini in Milan: the editorial by the director Marco De Poli (1948) addressing the themes of religious teaching and sexual education is a prelude to the investigation published on the internal pages, which investigates the position of women in Italian society from the point of view of their peers. They express themselves without censorship on sexual behavior, religion, birth control, relationships with family, free love, society and school; for this analysis the authors were accused of moral outrage, obscene printing and corruption of minors. The hot topics projected the three boys into an unwanted spotlight; the trial, which also involved the principal and provoked parliamentary questions, was covered by the international press and ended with a full acquittal of the defendants, defended by a panel of leading criminal lawyers. The case is considered a precursor to the 1968 movement (see front page in 7234). Milan, February 1966.
