The current dome is due to Thomas U. Walter and August Schoenborn as are the buildings that house the Federal Parliament, whose construction was supervised by Edward Clark. The Capitol houses the two branches of the Congress of the United States of America: the Senate and the House of Representatives. Photograph, USA circa 1985.
