caption: ITALIAN SOCIALIST ALMANAC, published in Milan by ''Avanti!'' from 1917 to 1925, drawing its roots in the Socialist Almanac published between 1873 and 1903; since 1926 the fascist regime prohibited the printing and diffusion of any publication that did not support it, however the Socialist Almanac found a way to be printed in Paris between 1931 and 1938, and then resumed official publication from 1946 to 1982 again in Italy by ''Avanti!''. Some volumes, including the 1922/25 collection, preserved at the Gramsci Foundation. Italy, second half of the 20th century.
