caption: EXHIBITIONS New York World's Fair April 30, 1939 - October 27, 1940, the first exposition centered on "The World of Tomorrow", inaugurated with the slogan "The Dawn of a New Day": the Westinghouse time capsule, to be unearthed in 6939, it hangs between the company president (left) and fair president Grover Whalen (June 2, 1886 - April 20, 1962) in the exhibit illustrating its contents to fair visitors. The writings, the microfilms, the objects of common use, the seeds, have been preserved at a depth of 15 meters since 23 September 1938 in the Cupaloy casing (an alloy specifically designed to resist corrosion for 5000 years), marked on the surface by a stele and a small plaque. Photograph, USA 1939.
