Glimpse of daily life in the ''Slaughterhouse Quarter'', as one of the workers' villages created (like the ''Shanghai Quarter'') with the Montecatini factories was nicknamed, lacking basic infrastructures such as roads, drinking water and sewerage connection, but provided of electricity.
