A caricature "mourning" the repeal of the law introduced only the previous year by the English, which required all documents to be stamped in favor of the British Crown. A small, irreverent dog raises its paw on the officiant's habit at the head of the procession to the burial, followed by two standard-bearers of the Crown, a pallbearer with a small coffin, and other bewigged institutional figures.
