SAN GIOVANNI BOSCO (August 16, 1815 – January 31, 1888), Italian presbyter and pedagogue, was ordained a priest on June 5, 1841 in the Chapel of the Archbishopric of Turin. He dedicated himself to the education of abandoned children, founded the congregations of the Salesians and the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians.
