caption: ARBITRARY COLORS: A chromatic elaboration of a photographic "butterfly" of a female nude: in the doubled, mirrored, and superimposed image, the woman sitting on the ground, leaning back on her arms, seems to be lost in her own gaze. Black background, shades of purple, blue, flesh-pink, yellow, green, and red. This sophisticated process of arbitrary creative coloring was developed by Ando Gilardi (1921 - 2012) #andogilardi in the 1970s. It is a photographic technique of great expressive power and versatility, with results that can be considered a precursor to subsequent digital elaborations. Color G, Milan, 1970.
