caption: COLOR G ''Gramsci is...'' Series of portraits of the PCI co-founder Antonio Gramsci (1891 - 1937) created by Ando Gilardi (1921 - 2012) #andogilardi with the sophisticated process of arbitrary creative coloring he developed in the 1970s; this photographic technique of great expressive power and versatility, with results that can be defined as precursors of subsequent digital processing, offered a spectacular visual experience to visitors to the exhibition at the Festival Nazionale dell'Unità in Turin (see from FSNgilardi_78230.jpg to FSNgilardi_78250.jpg). Element on a green background, with a white face and shades of red. Color G, Milan 1981.
