Shocked, she returned before the expected deadline to the comfort of working for the family who loved her and taking care of her child; this had earned her the suspicion of guilt, her arrest and imprisonment for a week, during which popular public opinion had rallied en masse to her side, in solidarity with her story as a working-single-mother, moreover a child with physical problems that she courageously faced alone, also raising the social problem of stigma towards unmarried mothers and the lack of legislation to protect them and their children.
