title: COLOR G - FEMALE NUDE SELF-PORTRAIT

subject date: 2025-12-01

caption: ARBITRARY COLORS: Color manipulation of an anamorphic female nude produced with a self-timer, with the photographer holding the shutter cable. Tones of purple, yellow, and orange on a blue background. This sophisticated process of arbitrary creative coloring was developed by Ando Gilardi (1921 - 2012) #andogilardi in the 1970s. It is a photographic technique of great expressive power and versatility, with results that can be considered a precursor to subsequent digital processing. Color G, Milan, circa 1975.
