Endowed with unparalleled military and diplomatic intelligence, courage and charisma, he managed to conquer the immense territory of the Persian Empire in just 12 years. "Imperator Allexander Magnus", bas-relief decoration from the band depicting famous characters from antiquity and mythological themes, inspired by Roman medals, carved on the base of the facade of the Certosa di Pavia basilica, a typical example of Lombard Renaissance architecture of the fifteenth century.
