Tito Flavio VESPASIANO (17 November 9 - 23 June 79) acclaimed Roman emperor in 69 by the legions of Egypt, Judea, Syria and Danube (the fourth in the year of the four emperors), he ruled with the name of Cesare Vespasiano Augusto (Caesar Vespasianus Augustus). He had collected military successes in Gaul, Britain, Thrace, and the first war of Judea. "Caesar Vesp. Aug. PM TR. PP Cost III Imp.", Bas-relief decoration from the band depicting famous people of antiquity and mythological themes, inspired by the medals of the Roman era, carved on the base of the facade of the basilica Certosa di Pavia, a typical example of Lombard Renaissance architecture of the fifteenth century.
