caption: THE SOWING OF THE SAFFRON (Crocus sativus) plant of the Iridaceae family. How do the bulbs appear in the furrow: two rows coupled, very close shooting. Organic cultivation in Lower Piedmont (Monferrato). The graceful bulb plant is cultivated in Asia Minor and in many countries of the Mediterranean basin including Italy, where the most extensive crops are found in the Marche, Abruzzo and Sardinia.
