caption: San GEMINIANO (15 January 312 - 31 January 397) bishop of Modena. Known for the power he was able to exercise against demons, he was summoned to Constantinople by the Emperor Jovian to heal his daughter. Very active in contrasting the Arian heresy, widespread in Romagna, he is the patron saint of Modena, Guiglia, Massa Finalese, Pieve d'Olmi, Pontremoli, San Gimignano, Vielmur-sur-Agout; commemoration on January 31st.
