San Sabino (? - 303), bishop of Spoleto where he suffered martyrdom under Diocletian; also Assisi, Chiusi, Faenza, Sulmona and Fermo claim him as a bishop, but there are no known historical sources for these attributions. According to tradition he survived the cruel amputation of both hands, and while he was still in prison, he returned the sight to a blind man. His executioner, impressed, wanted to meet him, followed the healing and conversion that caused an even tough repression, culminating in the death blast.
