Having preached for a long time along the Seine in the valley of Paris together with priest Quirino (or Cerino) and deacon Scubicolo (or Egobillo), having baptized at a fountain at Vaux more than three hundred converted, Nicasio imparted the sacrament to Pienza, high rank woman in La Roche-Guyon. Soon after the three were captured and decapitated in Vessine; on their burial ground there was a chapel in which Pienza was caught, who had been surprised to pray for them, who was subjected to the same martyrdom. According to the Liber Niger of 1079, San Nicasio was the first bishop of Rouen. Commemoration on October 11th. Colored Etching, Italy 1886
