caption: ANCIENT ROME ''Cornelia, when asked to show her jewels, replied that her two sons were the richest jewels.'' Cornelia (189 BC - c. 110 BC) Roman matron, wife of Tiberius Sempronius Gracchus and mother of twelve children, but the only ones who reached adulthood were the two famous Tiberius and Gaius Gracchus, and their elder sister, Sempronia, who married Publius Cornelius Scipio Aemilianus.
