caption: San LEANDRO (534 - 13 March approximately 600), archbishop of Seville. He converted from the Arianism Ermenegildo and Recaredo I of the Visigothic royal house and with them the whole of Spain. He convened the III Council of Toledo, which included the recitation of the Nicene Creed in the liturgy of the Holy Mass. On that occasion he pronounced the sermon "Homilia de triumpho ecclesiae ob conversionem Gothorum", one of the few works of his writing received in our day, together with "De institutione virginum et contemptu mundi", the monastic rule composed for the religious community of his sister Fiorentina . Commemoration on 27 February according to the Roman Martyrology, March 13 on the day of death (Dies Natalis, birth to heaven) or November 13 on certain calendars. Colored engraving, Italy 1886
