Having rejected the proposals of the son of the Prefect of Rome invoking pronounced vows of chastity, was destined to the cloister of the vestal virgins, then to a brothel; condemned to the pyre miraculously escaped the flames, and eventually died slaughtered like a sacrificial lamb.
