caption: SANTA RITA DA Cascia (1381-1457) nee Margherita Lotti. "The saint of the impossible - Vera effigy of Saint Rita of Cascia, venerated in her Shrine in Turin." Mysticism is depicted in ecstasy, while leading to chest the crown of thorns and two little angels hold out a crown with three roses. Beatified by Pope Urban VIII in 1628 and by Pope St. Leo XIII in 1900, it is known as the "Saint of the Impossible" and "Advocate of hopeless cases." Patron saint of unhappily married women, of desperate cases and seemingly impossible, is also the patron of the screen printers. Recurrence May 22.
