caption: Willibald Pirckheimer (1470 - 1530) humanist, politician and German jurist. active member of the humanist circle of Nuremberg, has translated many classic works by greek Latin and German, or directly from Latin to German; so he brought to his fellow citizens the possibility of access to a range of texts, providing the necessary impetus to the inclusion of Roman Law in the Laws Germanic. Sincere friend of Albrecht Dürer, contributed to his cultural formation, even helping him financially in his early days.
