caption: ARBITRARY PHOTOGRAPHY Direct imprint of a hand in BN G, a technique created in the seventies by Ando Gilardi (1921 - 2012) #andogilardi, for the creation of photographic images characterized by arbitrary gray tones, selected with exclusively photographic means and procedures. The gray tone selections are extracted from the image through different exposures of the same and recording on lith film, countertyped and exposed by difference on a new sensitive support. In this experimentation the subject is not filmed by a photographic camera, but produced by physical contact of the hand with the sensitive support (see specular Color G processing in 31107).
