Built between 1924 and 1926 and designed by architect Ivar Tengbom, it has a capacity of 1,776 seats. Headquarters dell'Orchesta Swedish Royal Philharmonic (Kungliga Filharmoniska Orkestern), the hall also hosts the award ceremonies of the Nobel Prize and the Polar Music Prize.
