caption: Darix TOGNI (1922-1976), circus and Italian actor. Son of Hercules Togni, in his youth he performed in various roles in the National Circus Togni. The role that made him famous is to tamer. Since 1953 he became the owner of his own circus, born from the division of the National Circus Togni. In promotional postcard of the National Circus Togni appears in costume at the center of the composition, between four photos in which is taken along with the big cats. The graphic suggests a direct descent of the show modern circus by performances in the Coliseum, and a projection of the tradition under the big top in the future 2000.
