caption: SAN FLORIANO (? - 304) Wooden statue representing the Saint in the act of extinguishing a fire with a single bucket of water, as the tradition says that he managed to do in his youth. Veteran of the Roman army in the Norian, the historic region of today's Austria, Floriano had official business in the city of Cetium, and secretly embraced Christianity. In 303, the persecution of Christians broke out, he wanted to show its solidarity with our brothers in faith, he was arrested, tortured and sentenced to death by drowning, thrown into the river with a millstone around his neck.
