caption: Salvatore MINOCCHI (1869-1943) presbyter, historian, biblical scholar, theologian, Italian Judaist, one of the main exponents of theological modernism. In 1908, following a conference on Genesis held in Florence on January 23, he was suspended a divinis; shortly after he left the priestly state, abandoning all religious activities and devoting himself exclusively to university studies and teaching of the history of religions.
