caption: FEET BLACKS Plains Indians, reconstruction located at the Museum of Milwaukee that is a scene of bison hunting: many hunters, walk, shout and shake skins to scare the herd pushing it to fall off a cliff, while other hunters armed with spears and arrows slashing heads that break off from the group. When the plains abounded Kington cattle Indians depended largely on them for food, clothing and shelter. The meat was eaten and then dried for winter, the skin used to cover the teepee and in apparel. Chromos, Wisconsin, circa 1925.
