caption: ANTHROPOLOGY head Ndebele (or Matabele), the native population of the Matabeleland region of Zimbabwe inhabited by the mid-nineteenth century. The Ndebele are one of the two main ethnic groups in Zimbabwe (with Shona). The clothing normally follows the European styles, while in the parties back to the past: the warriors kept complicated feature-rich feathers, skins of wild animals, necklaces and bracelets of glass beads or metal.
