caption: Count Enrico MARONE CINZANO (15 March 1895 - 23 October 1968) and Princess Maria CRISTINA of Spain (12 December 1911 - 23 December 1996). The entrepreneur and sports manager (coming from two of the most influential Turinese families, honored by the friendship of some members of the House of Savoy) and the daughter of the Spanish king Alfonso XIII exiled in Rome were married on 10 June 1940, the same year in Vittorio Emanuele III of Savoia gave Enrico Marone Cinzano the title of Count. For three years he had been a widower of Noemi Alcorta (1907-1937), from whom he had two daughters and a son. From the second marriage four daughters were born. Photographic portrait of the couple performed by Ghitta Carell (20 September 1899 - 18 January 1972), photographed Hungarian naturalized Italian, official portraitist of the royals of Italy and eminent personalities of the regime, who in the years after the war made portraits to various characters of Roman culture, politics, nobility and bourgeoisie.
