Depiction of Beatrice between the Thrones and the theologian Saint Peter Damian, encountered in the seventh heaven of Paradise. In the illustration, on the left the Supreme Poet Dante Alighieri (14 May/13 June 1265 – night between 13 and 14 September 1321) at his desk and on the right the scene described, all enclosed in an allegorical frame representing Paradise, Purgatory and Hell.
