During his pontificate the Emperor Constantine issued the Edict of Milan, which put an end to the persecution of Christians allowing him to live openly in religion and recapture the previously confiscated church property. Moreover, the Emperor made a gift to the Pope of the Lateran Palace, that turned it into the papal residence. Postcard chromolithographic n. 231 from the 'Collection of the Popes Romans' dedicated to Pope Pius X and blessed by Him. Rome, October 1903.
