caption: Ghitta CARELL (20 September 1899 - 18 January 1972). Photographed Hungarian naturalized Italian, born in Szatmar from Israeli parents, she moved very young to Florence (1924) where she began her profession as a photographer. Later, in Rome, she was the official photographer of the royals of Italy and the author of the most appreciated portraits of the eminent personalities of the regime. In the years after the war he continued to make portraits of the characters of Roman culture, politics, nobility and bourgeoisie.
