At the Court of Assizes of Naples the trial against Assunta Maresca called 'Pupetta' and Gaetano Orlando known as' Tano 'and Bastimento' is underway, protagonists of facts of blood that aroused enormous impression in Italy. On 16 July 1955 the Orlando killed, apparently on behalf of Antonio Esposito (Totonno 'and Pomigliano), whose' anonymous homicide 'is believed to have been the material executor, Pupetta's husband, Pasquale Simonetti (Pascalone' and Nola) "On 4 October of that same year, the widow went to look for the Exhibitor, in the company of her younger brother. She met him in a street in Naples. He introduced himself. Totonno was struck by several bullets." Assunta 'Pupetta' Maresca (19 January 1935), Italian criminal, wife of the Palma Campania boss Pasquale Simonetti and sister of the camorrista Ciro Maresca, known as 'Lampetiello', was the protagonist of one of the most striking episodes in the history of the Camorra. In the illustration, she is depicted during the trial in which she was accused along with her brother of the murder of Antonio Esposito.
