His accomplices are seated behind him; from left: Carlo Di Rudio (August 26, 1832 – November 1, 1910), Antonio Gomez (1829 – post-1887), and Giovanni Andrea Pieri (1808 – March 13, 1858), the only one of the four who failed to detonate his device.
